If you are connecting to a Windows Server 2008 or Windows 7 computer through remote desktop you might get this error:
“The remote computer requires Network Level Authentication, which your computer does not support” here is a screenshot of the actual fat error:
the reason you are getting this error is because you are either using Windows XP, or another older operating system to connect to the remote machine, and Windows XP or any other operating system older than windows vista does not support the new updated remote desktop protocol. if you have access to the remote machine running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008, then do this to get rid of the problem. right-click the Computer icon on the desktop, and go to Properties. then click on Advanced system settings on the left panel:
on the system properties, click on the Remote tab. then check the checkbox that reads: Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop ( less secure )
then click on Apply. and you should be all set.
