Avoid Entering Username And Password When Opening Outlook Using RPC Over HTTP

A few days ago I wrote about how to setup Outlook using RPC over HTTP Setup Outlook with RPC Over HTTP and one of the things I mentioned in the article was to choose Basic Authentication under Proxy Authentication Settings. But as you might have found out, Outlook prompts for the user name and password every time it opens which is annoying to some users. Prompting for a username and password is the default Outlook behavior if you are using a computer on a different domain as the exchange server, but if you are using a computer on the same network as the exchange server, then it should not ask for credentials. To set Outlook not to ask for a username and password, you need to choose NTLM Authentication under Proxy Authentication Settings.

That should make some users happy when opening Outlook.
